Intercultural communication presentation would be basically the embodiment of how one acts in their culture and the way we communicate amongst others. To know and understand these we have a couple of themes that helps with the meaning of the functionality of a group. Some are dominant and others are co cultures. Most of the time if not always a community is always divided by two mind sets. Those who can be more liberal and other who like to be present at the time of communication. It is indeed very interesting to see two different cultures interact. It also has a lot to deal with the values that one has grown up with. Just by the color of our skin and features were already separated into groups. One of the most important information to put other is where you’re born. For some reason ethnicity plays a huge part in a role as a society. As well as religion and sexual orientation. Your economical status and education is important when meeting different cultures. Age and generation can be too usually in someones mannerisms. Although Is not always obvious most of the time you can tell someones generation by the common knowledge the other party shares. As for disabilities, it might seem like these a few that we encounter in our life time, you would be surprise the amount of people that struggle daily that don’t know they themselves have a type of disability. Although it’s not always physical most of the time its mental. As we’ve already seen, cultures differ into eight different groups, individualism has a lot to deal with self esteem its the amount of confidence one has to make decisions as individuals as well as in corporal. Context divides cultures into a low one and a high one. Low is direct and high is contextual, usually long. Chronemics is the way we as a whole perceive time. One sees it as at is, practically on the dot and the other is continuous, time doesn’t stop from doing what the want. Uncertainty avoidance again are low and high these are the way a culture deals with the minds of others. Low isn’t too involved on what the next person does as much as high is always on the lookout and is persistent into changing another’s beliefs if it doesn’t go with their beliefs. Power distance would be the amount of respect one has for their everyday person hight consider that someone with authority should be honored and low feels that everyone should be of honor. Masculinity and femininity isn’t necessarily about genders but about the vies of it as a society. Long term and short are ones patience in life. Short expects it quicker than a long would. Indulgence is how people see rules. One is lenient the other is not. And lastly competent communication strategies has a good attitude knowledge and is skilled. all these topics helps us see and underwent how we function with one another, it also makes us understand one another when our patience runs low and we don’t want to deal with one another or its the way we can grasp to help one another during our life in communication purposes.

As we get more in depth we can see where communication is found not just its functionality. it being workplace, education, online platforms, social groups, volunteer organizations. In families that come in different ways they tend to have patterns like protectiveness, and laizze-faire. Most of us belong to more than one social group. Which makes it easy to find support In a community. Service groups is about responsibilities and roles. They like to encourage members and have good manners. The dynamic in work groups is to work in a team mindset. Is to be considerate of others so that everyone does their part and everyone wins. Virtual groups we can see the evolution of society with nuance. We can agree that technology has made our life a little more easier in the sense of participating as a society especially on workplaces. There is the type of goals from a healthy group and it is to be honest upright and honorable. healthy groups can be very interdependent who like to rely on others skills. They are cohesive which has a good amount of respect to others. These people tend to have productive norms which allows them to behave. Accountability makes all groups responsible of collaborating in any situation. In healthy groups there is synergetic forces which at the end is for all to work out for good. After looking at all these different ways groups we have stages of their development. We have the forming and storming. Forming being very positive in its role and storming creates problems. Norming and performing are not opposite of each other they’re both very harmonious. Adjourning and transforming recognizes and celebrates the role each one plays and it also allows them to move forward unto new goals. Conflict in groups can be given anywhere as we’ve seen before that our society always breaks into two groups and is given that sometimes its hard to communicate when we don’t have a similarity in backgrounds. Conflicts can also be seen in virtuality. Although most of the time its very helpful sometimes technology is over complicating our reality. All these are just a composition of who we are as we develop more and more in our social life.

Lastly the leadership and problem solving challenges essence the connection between the effectiveness in problem solving. Leadership is ahead of a group as a guidance for all. In this we see three types; givers, seekers, analyzers all contribute to having the best environment in a group setting. Then we have mediator with usually stay in a neutral position. Tension relievers make the environment more enjoyable and harmonizers are the problem solvers. Logistic coordinators supplies the space with their needs. Expeditors keep an agenda in order to help others be on track. Gatekeepers are those who keeps in mind those who might be outcast. Recorders are the note takers the ones who keep in track of what was said and what needs to be done. In this lesson we have keys to leadership responsibilities such as encourage input from all members and commitment to the group goal. Then we have effective meetings which allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of the work that it’s been done in public. To have a successful meeting one must prepare, review and modify and continue to with follow ups for the process of the work. Sometimes it’s necessary to identify and define a problem all those involved in the group must understand go to the root and find a solution. There also must be an evaluation of solution and decisions.

There is such thing called deliverables which consists of tangible and intangible products of work. These are written oral and virtual formats. Written has comprehensive report, executive summary and written briefs which again are forms of problem solvers. oral formats are briefs and reports and panel discussion as well as Symposium. Virtual has remote access and streaming video that are technological helpers.

Once we understand and take note of how much it takes for a society to commune and communicate it opens your eyes to a world of very much differences however if we all contribute and practice these things we sure will have a very harmonious place in our own homes work spaces or just about any setting with more than one person, well be able to successfully understand each other.
